How these times are calculated

NOAA/Meeus solar equations, refined with a second pass. GRA hours run from sunrise to sunset. MGA uses 72 fixed minutes at each end. Dawn is 72 minutes before sunrise; nightfall is 8.5° below the horizon. Shabbat candle lighting appears on Fridays at 18 minutes before sunset; Saturday Havdalah uses 8.5° nightfall. Community settings may differ.

Times use the selected time zone, including daylight saving for that date. Terrain and elevation are not modeled. If the sun does not reach an angle, that time is marked unavailable; this website does not substitute a fixed-minute fallback.
