Terms of Use

Simple terms for using Kavaná and this website.

Updated October 6, 2026

Using Kavaná

Kavaná is a tool for Jewish prayer and learning. Use it lawfully and respectfully. Do not misuse its services, interfere with other users, or try to access systems without permission.

Prayer times and guidance

Prayer times depend on your location, time zone, and selected customs. Check these settings and confirm important times with your community.

Rav is an AI learning companion. It can make mistakes, including mistakes in sources. Its answers are not a ruling from a rabbi. Ask your own rabbi about practical halachah; contact emergency services when immediate help is needed.

Your content and privacy

You keep ownership of the questions you submit. You allow us and the providers described in the Privacy Policy to process them to answer you. Avoid sending information you do not want those providers to receive.

The Privacy Policy explains the app's optional online features and your choices.

App and text licenses

Kavaná's design and software belong to their respective owners. Bundled Hebrew siddur text is credited to Sefaria's Siddur Edot HaMizrach, published as public-domain text. Other material keeps its own license.

For an App Store download, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a separate license is provided on the App Store listing.

Availability and your rights

We work to keep Kavaná useful, but do not promise uninterrupted service or error-free information. Features may change or become unavailable. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that the law gives you.

Updates and contact

We may update these terms. Material changes will be explained in the app or on this website. The date above identifies this version. For questions, use the developer support contact on Kavaná's App Store listing.
